I started out with a little jog, only 1/16th of a mile (From my house to Scioto and back) felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest.

Why Lean?  I mentioned in another post I had purchased a pull up bar so I could do the classic, stinkin thing wouldn’t work, only works with 2×4 framed door ways, mine are all 2×6 or innacessable or inconvenient.  Because I couldn’t do the Chest & Back workout I started with the Lean.  Since I really want to get the weight off fast and I’m not really an athletic person this is probably the best one for me anyways.

The workout wasn’t bad, I definitely realized my limitations very quickly.  The guy gets a little corny but it’s entertaining, not sure it will be the 20th time I watch the video.  My biggest problem is going to be my lower back pain I can already tell.  I find it difficult to do anything that requires the hips to be flexible.  I had to rest through some of the workout but was sure to drink as much as I could.  I’m thinking the cardio was a good place to start.  I did notice at the end of the day my back was feeling much better, felt like some of the junk got worked out.  I’m taking it easy, didn’t want to kill myself the first day.  I finished off the work out with a 10 oz protein shake.  I got the Vanilla flavor, must say very impressed.  It tasted great!  Not sure that I felt any different than I expected.

I also got my resting heart rate of 60, not sure what I’m doing with it yet, just wanted to note it.  I didn’t do the fit test, I already know I can do the workouts, I also know that I’m going to do better each week, I don’t care to look back and see that I’m doing 20 more reps than I was 3 weeks ago.  I still need to get my body fat percentage worked out.
